Robert Steedman AWS

Robert achieved his full AWS a few months ago and now he has one more achievement to tell you about.  The painting that he submitted for his full AWS has been selected to be included in the upcoming AWS Traveling Exhibit.  We are all so very happy for him.

Rye Library Art Show - Mary Vermeersch & Students

     Mary Vermeersch and 8 of her regular students are exhibiting in an art show at the Rye Public Library from February 4th through March30th.  We are exhibiting 30 paintings between the 9 of us.  You will see these students are very talented and have gone beyond student. Please plan to stop by during this show to see what they have accomplished or join us for our opening at the Library on February 21st. from 5 - 6:30pm.  to meet the artists and share in the refreshments. Classes Starting MAY - AUGUST 2018

Check each teachers home page on our web site, for the supply sheets for their classes.  You can also call Mary at 603-778-0685 or 603-502-6462, or e-mail for further information.  You can sign up for any of the classes by phone or e-mail. The class fees can be paid by cash in class, or check made out to Brush and Palette and mailed to P.O. Box 914, North Hampton, NH 03862.



Beaman Cole  is teaching his 4 week class, ALLA PRIMA OIL PAINTING - New and Exciting, starting Wednesday, mid May,  9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In this Alla Prima oil painting class, we will practice the skills necessary to paint quickly accurately and beautifully.  Soon you will be making a painting a day and I'll help you learn how. This class is open to students at any level. Fee: $130.  

Dustan Knight is teaching her 5 week class, ACRYLIC PAINTING AND MEDIUMS Fridays June 1 - June 29 10 -12 . Fee: $120. This course explores different techniques and the wide range of fascinating mediums and additives available with acrylic painting.  Acrylic is the most flexible and agreeable of all the painting mediums. There are many acrylic additives to create actual texture - like modeling paste and tar medium  colors - mica flakes - and processes - pouring and glazing mediums.  Lets try them out and find the ones we like the best. 

Dustan Knight is teaching a one day watercolor workshop, DAISIES, DAISIES, DAISIES, Saturday, June 2, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fee: $60.  Bring your watercolors and watercolor paper and enjoy this workshop creating beautiful paintings of Daisies.  

Mary Vermeersch is offering her ONGOING OILS  Mondays 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  ALSO Thursday 6 - 9 p.m. $20 per 3 hour session. Come on by!  Each student works on their own project at their own pace with as much help as each requires.
Robert Steedman is teaching his 4 week WATERCOLOR  class starting Tuesday, April 17,  from 6 - 8 p.m., Fee: $80. You will be learning how to control this very elusive medium through discussion, demonstration and painting.

  This course will take you from the sketch to the finished painting.  Color mixing, composition, technique and materials will be explored and demonstrated.

Rye Public Library art show, January - March 2016

     Mary Vermeersch and her oil painting students, are participating in an art show at the Rye Public Library, January 5 through March 28.  Our opening is scheduled for January 20th from 6 - 7:30 p.m. with a snow date scheduled for January 27th.  Please join us for light refreshments and a chance to meet the artists.  The work of these students is wonderful and sure to be worth your interest.
