Classes Starting JANUARY - MARCH 2018

The class fees can be paid by cash in class, or check made out to Brush and Palette and mailed to P.O. Box 914, North Hampton, NH 03862.



Todd Bonita Will be offering his 8 week class BEGINNERS OIL PAINTING - LAYERING AND GLAZING starting  January 2 - February 27, 2018, 9 a.m. - 12 noon.  Fee: $360.  These classes are for beginners who have never painted before or have some experience but are looking for a simple and focussed understanding of the nuts and bolts of oil painting. 

Beaman Cole  is teaching his 4 week class, ALLA PRIMA OIL PAINTING - New and Exciting, starting Wednesday, February 21, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In this Alla Prima oil painting class, we will practice the skills necessary to paint quickly accurately and beautifully.  Soon you will be making a painting a day and I'll help you learn how. This class is open to students at any level. Fee: $130.  

Tom Georgon is teaching his 1 DAY ACRYLIC WORKSHOP,  Saturday,  10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fee: $50. Subject will be listed in the future.

Dustan Knight is teaching a 5 week class, DRAWING AND WATERCOLOR; starting Friday, January 5, 10 a.m. - 12 noon, Fee: $120.  Dusty will guide you through the basics of drawing with pencil and painting with watercolor. The drawing sharpens the students eyes and allows them to isolate art concepts which they translate with watercolors.  It encourages students to understand the character of the watercolor medium and determine what techniques are best for each subject.  This is a wonderful  and exciting learning opportunity.

Dustan Knight is teaching a one day Watercolor Workshop LOBSTER POTS AND BUOYES 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., Fee: $50. on Saturday, February 10th.  Dusty writes about this workshop,
    " Let's paint Lobster Pots and Buoys in watercolor!  This all level workshop  captures the rugged textured and worn colors of an old wooden lobster trap and sea battered lobster buoy.
     We will be Using 'liquid friskit' and various watercolor texturing techniques and dry brush  to get the feeling we  want. These techniques are easy and important for all watercolorists to know.  All levels invited for a fun day of painting.

Mary Vermeersch is offering her ONGOING OILS  Mondays 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  ALSO Thursday 6 - 9 p.m. $20 per 3 hour session. Come on by!  Each student works on their own project at their own pace with as much help as each requires.
Robert Steedman is teaching his 4 week WATERCOLOR  class starting Tuesday, February 13,  from 6 - 8 p.m., Fee: $80. You will be learning how to control this very elusive medium through discussion, demonstration and painting.

  This course will take you from the sketch to the finished painting.  Color mixing, composition, technique and materials will be explored and demonstrated.
