Helen Graduated from Benington College with a degree in Studio/Fine Arts. She taught art in the Walpole, MA public schools for a number of years before moving to the NH seacoast in 1998. Since then, she has been an active painter in this area, working primarily in pastel and watercolor. She is a member of the Pastel Society of NH as well as the Kittery and Seacoast Artists Assoc.

Pastels
Each student will create a simple pastel painting during this workshop. We will focus on basic pastel techniques and discuss the importance of composition and color. Watercolor under-painting will be introduced as an optional step in the total process. |
