OILS BY MARY J. VERMEERSCH (at THE BLUE MOON)

Paintings by Mary J. Vermeersch of Stratham NH will be shown at Blue Moon Natural Foods, 8 Clifford Street, Exeter, during August and September. A reception for the artist will be held Friday, August 21st 2009 from 5 to 7 pm. The natural foods store and restaurant is hosting rotating art exhibits by members of Seacoast Artist Association.

Vermeersch says, “In my paintings, I strive to interpret and recreate a moment in time for others to experience. My landscapes are about light and atmosphere and the effect the light has on the subject is very important to me. At present, I find the older buildings of the Seacoast and Star Island especially interesting.”

Vermeersch owns and operates the Brush & Palette Art Classes in North Hampton at Centennial Hall and teaches adults oil painting. She holds a signature membership in the Copley Society of Boston and is a member of both the New Hampshire Art Association and the Seacoast Art Association. This show will remain for you to view throughout the months of August and September.

Mary's paintings have been shown at the New Antique Shop and Gallery, Five O'Clock Fox which just opened 2010, Government Street, Kittery ME.

Mary's giclee prints are sold through Kennedy's Frame and Gallery, 41 Market Street, Portsmouth, NH.

Mary has two paintings in the Oils and Acrylics Show at the NHAA Levy Gallery, State Street, Portsmouth, NH through August.

Mary's oil paintings are being shown at Webster's at Rye on Washington Road, Rye, NH during the months of May and June 2011. The show is free and open to the public.
