Diane Crespo - Artist

Having lived in New England most of her life, Diane is drawn to the ever changing landscape this region has to offer. Inspired by nature, Diane's landscape paintings reflect the mood and light that surround us, by the sea, woodland marsh or a mountain stream. The colors found in nature can be dramatic or subtle depending on the light and season which Diane creates in either pastel or oil.

Along with painting landscapes, many have commissioned Diane to paint their favorite pet which she creates in pastel, a medium that lends itself nicely to the softness of fur.

Diane earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the New Hampshire Institute of Art where she was fortunate to have studied under James Aponovich and Patrick McCay. She is a member of The Pastel Society of New Hampshire, The Lowell Art Association, and the Newburyport Art Association. She has won numerous awards for her paintings and participates in various art shows throughout the year.

In addition, her paintings are in private collections across New England, the West coast, and parts of Europe. Corporate collections include the Melrose Wakefeld Hospital in Massachusetts which has acquired some of Diane's original paintings for their permanent collection.

You can view her paintings in person at her gallery at Diane Crespo Fine Art Gallery, 32 Hanover St, Manchester, NH. Diane also teaches art classes at her gallery, you can visit her website for more information.
